Often, we know what we must change to live healthier, happier, leaner, and longer. The problem lies in taking the steps to change that bad habit!

Change is hard.

I love the quote by Tony Robbins:

“Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change”

So, what can we do when that pain of staying the same becomes increasingly greater? How do we go about making changes that are permanent and for the good?

Here are four easy steps to get you started:

  1. Identify the problem: What old habits are getting in the way of you being a healthier version of yourself? What barriers to change do you face? Identify them. Write them down. Declare them. Make them real.
  2. Find a solution to the problem: How can you change the old habit or barrier? Who can help? Develop a plan to transform your daily habits and behaviors to reflect a new thought process and a physical change.
  3. Know the facts. Many offer the solution without addressing the problem. It just doesn’t work that way. Diet myths are like urban legends…many exist but few are factual. Weed out the myths/fads/gimmicks and find the right way to succeed. Learn more about who can show you the facts.
  4. Develop a plan. With a trusted Health Coach. Set that plan in motion with steps leading to your ultimate goal. Take each step one at a time. Allow yourself set-backs. Allow yourself learning opportunities. Embrace the change. Reset your thought process to a positive spin on the new life you are creating.

Last, but not least, defeat those old habits that are holding you back! Reward yourself for each small step toward the end goal. Focus on the positive. Learn from the negative. Be a self-changer and be a success!

I believe in you 🙂
